At our October we will be talking about bees and the upcoming Regional Meeting in Mt Vernon.  The regional meeting is hosted by NWDBA this year so we need to make sure everything is ready to go.  If you have items for door prizes please bring them to the meeting if you won't be attending the regional meeting Oct 25.

September Meeting
Hallie and Cindy presented a fun slide show at the meeting that covered everything from the early morning set-up to the day after fair as well as taking the tents down.  It was filled with fun shots of demo's and the competition fever that developed as the guys started to take turns simply sitting in the tent and visiting with fair folks.  We celebrated our lovely Rosette with a big cake and other baked goodies brought in by several members.
 
It was voted to give a free 2007 membership to both Alan Pomeroy and Don Smith.  They both did a great deal of work building the 3/4 scale hive drop box and pegboard pillars and brochures,  respectively.

October Beekeeping
Continue to feed bees if necessary.  Whether bees need food or not, give one gallon of two-to-one sugar/water syrup containing Fumidil-B.

November Beekeeping
All appliances, supers, etc. should be cleaned and put in a dry place for next year Protect dark combs from wax moth damage.
