Dates to Remember
Nov 9: NWDBA Meeting
Dec 14: NWDBA Holiday Potluck
At our next meeting Nov 9th Tues, we will discuss and recap the State
conference held in Spokane. It was a smaller group but great as usual
and worth the five hour trip. Wesley
B. Tate was awarded the copper bee smoker (Beekeeper of the year) at
the Spokane Conference. Congratulations Wes!
We will also be deciding on the date for our December Holiday party
and where we will celebrate 'Deck the Halls"
Nominations and elections will be discussed at the next meeting also.
This is a great opportunity for any members to earn points toward
your Master Beekeepers certification and to make a difference in our
Assoc and the beekeeping community by being involved.
There will be several positions to fill this year including the
position of President.
Send your feedback and your nominations for elections to the
nominating committee of current board members or reply to this
newsletter. You can also nominate yourself if you can't be
there.

Holiday Potluck
Our
annual Holiday party potluck will be at our regular location on our
regular meeting day. Tuesday Dec 9th at 6:30 pm rather than 7pm.
All members and their family and friends are welcome. Please bring a main dish,
dessert, or salad. There is a microwave and stove available to reheat dishes.
Anyone having extra door prizes or inventory items they want to donate, please
bring them that evening.
New and old officers should also bring soda, coffee, eggnog, mead
or whatever to drink.
November Beekeeping
All appliances, supers, etc. should be
cleaned and put in a dry place for next year Protect dark combs from wax moth
damage.
December Beekeeping
Keep the entrances free
of dead bees. This is a good time to go to beekeeper meetings and read all the
beekeeping magazines that have been stacking up all year. Repair old equipment,
assemble all the new frames and supers you will need next year. If you need
apiary permits for outyards, apply for them now.
See you at the Meeting!
