Beginner Beekeeping -Washington State Beekeeping Association certified course. This is great if you're looking for information as a new and first time beekeeper, or pursuing the WASBA's certification program. Class time is scheduled 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM in Monroe.

Beginner Beekeeping - Washington State Beekeeping Association certified course. 

This is great if you're looking for information as a new and first time beekeeper, or pursuing the WASBA's certification program. 

Course Booklets will be provided, it's recommended to bring writing utensils and a notebook.


Day 1 content, a brief lunch break at approximately 11:45.

Chapter 1, Bee Hives, Protective Clothing, Tools, and Site Location: Hive types, Protective Clothing & gear, Tools, Hive location, Bee Journal

Chapter 2, Honey Bees: History, Honey Bee Breeds and Strains, Ordering Honey Bees, Bee Castes & their roles in the colony, Bee Anatomy and Development
