About the event

6:00 PM Sustainable Beekeeping w/ Michael Jaross

7:00PM Beginner Hour and Ongoing Discussion

Michael Jaross has been keeping bees 16 years, other than the one package he bought in 2005 when he first got started, he’s never had to buy bees or queens.  Michael has always managed to stay on the plus side of sustainability, making splits and queens.  He now makes Snelgove nucs for sale in the spring and requeen all his hives annually with self produced queens, plus a few extra for sale and gets reliable honey harvests every year to pay for the fun.  Michael’s focus in his bee operations is sustainable, local beekeeping.
