About the event

6pm - Varroa - Let's sample and figure out a treatment plan.

Varroa destructor is one of the largest pests we face as beekeepers and the biggest factor to the reasons our colony's don't survive winter. With summer solstice behind us and honey flows beginning to slow, come learn a few things about varroa, importance of sampling, and some tools that can help you decide treatment types, and a few treatment options - including a great resource at https://honeybeehealthcoalition.org/resources/varroa-management/We'd love active participation from our experienced beekeepers!
